It had rained in the night, and this little stream had jumped into life, surging round a small stony island thrown up by the floods of early spring, and meeting itself once again on the other side. The water danced and sang its way down through the trees, as the fresh wind had the topmost branches calling and waving like fans at a pop concert.
All sorts of interesting beings were present - I could feel them - and if you look carefully, there is a rather nice blue orb on the top left-hand corner of this photo. To me this picture is FULL of Elementals. There are trees and ferns of course, but also others who blend perfectly into their surroundings and only reveal themselves when they desire it. The large tree on the left looks exactly like an elephant gazing straight at the camera. But looking at him only reveals many others too, of which he is an integral part. There are green beings peeping round the tree trunks, little faces here and there - and the whole of the rest of of Nature's world of myths and legends existing almost invisibly alongside us.
These days, in the woods, I feel so clumsy and noisy. Even my thoughts grind and churn like a rusty old machine in need of a spot of oil. I think I might be keeping quiet, but I know I'm really not. I'm large like a ogre, stomping and smashing my way through the woods. With every footfall something gets squashed. No wonder 'the sweethearts' as I call them, stay well away. Who would want to be bumped into by a giant like me?
We humans are so heavy and dense. There is nothing refined about us. We wouldn't notice a wood elf if he bashed us right between the eyes! Only in our dreams do we begin to float and fly. Only when our thinking minds are switched off do we get the chance to be our true selves. Our true elves... Unless that is, we take the time to go out into Nature with an open heart, sit with our thoughts, meditate, rest, be patient and ask to know the Truth.
They ARE there, they really are! And they want to know you too! Go out with respect, gratitude and love for these wonderful beings, and you will not be disappointed.
