When I thought of my little plot of earth this morning, and how it made me feel, I was overcome with sadness. All our little square patches of ground, all the seeds, all the love and all the beauty have been smothered under tons of concrete for decades. Bulldozers came in and massacred the gentle spaces and scared away the wildlife, without so much as a passing thought. Profits before Peace...Business before Beauty... Croydon has lost its little patches of earth, its playing fields and its quiet places where blackbirds nest in peace. Little children cannot experience the marvel of life, when all they see, hear, taste, smell, and touch is the machinery of man.
Man, in his psychosis continues to suffocate his Mother. The One who provides all his needs so willingly and lovingly, and the One whom he disregards and abuses the most, continues to be neglected and ravaged on a global scale. This has to change. We MUST nurture our Earth and our children again - with open spaces, with trees and plants and skies free from pollution of all kinds.
Yesterday I met some lovely people involved with the Steiner inspired school at Tapley Park near Bideford. How wonderful to know that some little children at least are being set free...
